About Me
My name is Jessamyn (she/her; pronounced jess-uh-men), and I'm from Greenbelt, Maryland. I've always had animals in my personal life, and have been working with them professionally since 2023. I founded Pet Care by Jessamyn because I wasn't happy with the overbooked, disorganized, one-size-fits-all care offered by bigger players in the industry. My family has been lucky enough to have had multiple elderly and special needs animals - and I want to offer others nothing less than the same standard of care that I'd give to them.
The best one-size-fits-all ever got us was popcorn shirts - let's not subject the animals in our lives to that. :)When I'm not working (and sometimes even when I am), I enjoy spending time in nature and trying various arts and crafts. I often volunteer with rescues on the weekend to show adoptable dogs at events.
My favorite things to do with my clients are trail walks and inventing new treat puzzles using the toys they have on hand. My special talent is finding four leaf clovers, and my biggest weakness is probably the sweet face of any sort of elderly animal. :)I look forward to working with you and your animal family members!

What does your best friend want and need today? Whether it's a long walk or care and companionship indoors, I'm available. You can request any combination of the services below to create the perfect day for your pet. For any special need not mentioned - just ask and we'll figure out how to make it work. :)
Please note: No drop in visits for dogs as a substitute for in-home overnights while you are away multiple days.

In-home Overnight Sit:
$165 /night base price
Every sit includes your best friend's usual walks, play sessions, feedings, and other needs as detailed by you. (Plus extra fun activities like water play if you'd like!)
Animals generally find that change is stressful while routine is comforting - that's why the best place for your pets when you're out of town is their own home. And although no one can replace their beloved family - when you aren't available, the best person to diligently carry out their routine when you're gone is me.$20/night discount for cat/small animal only households. Addition charges may apply in situations including but not limited to: multi animal households & animals who cannot be left on their own for 4 hours. Such custom pricing will be discussed and quoted before services begin.
Discounted rates are avaliable for regular clients!
Booking one daytime service at least 4 times a month gives you a discount of $5 off each session, while booking 6 times or more in a month increases that discount to $10 off each session! These discounts are applied automatically.Frequent traveler? You can purchase packages of 10 nights for the price of 9 that can be used over one or multiple trips. Check the packages section of the booking portal.
Becoming a Client - Easy as 1, 2, 3!
1) Set up a complementary virtual meeting with me on the calendar below
2) During our meeting, I answer any questions you may have and create a profile for your pet. Be as detailed as you'd like!
3) We schedule a first visit for you and your pet(s) to meet me in person, and then you're all set to book whenever you need!
